Description of Gunning Mix

Refractory gunning mix is a kind of unshaped refractory material used for gunning construction with jet machine. It is composed of refractory aggregates and powders with a certain particle size, binding agent and admixture. According to the material, there are alkaline, aluminum silicate, zirconium-containing and silicon carbide-containing. Refractory gunning mix is mainly used for repairing of steel and non-ferrous metal smelting furnaces and heating furnaces.

Classification of Gunning Mix

1. According to the composition of the gunning material, it is divided into: high aluminum, high silicon, magnesia, magnesium chromium, silicon carbide, etc. 2. According to the state of refractory materials, it can be divided into: dry, semi-dry and wet gunning. If the corrosion surface of the furnace lining is larger, the wet method is better for hot gunning; the dry method is more to fill the severely corroded parts of the situation. . 3. According to the temperature of gunning delivery gas, it can be divided into cold and hot gunning.

Application of High Alumina Refractory Castable

Refractory Gunning Mix is mainly used to repair the lining of kilns or thermal equipment, blast furnaces, hot blast furnaces, tap ditch, open hearth furnace, converter and electric furnace, heating furnace, flue, chimney, etc., such as RH furnace dip pipe, ladle, hot metal ditch, etc.
