Low cement castable is a new type of castable with cement content of about 5%, or even 1% to 2%, so its refractory performance is very good. With ultra-fine particles not exceeding 1μm, its thermal shock resistance, slag resistance and erosion resistance are significantly improved, exceeding similar refractory bricks. Further reducing the amount of binder, ultra-low cement castable and cement-free castable can be produced. Low cement castables mainly include high-alumina refractory castables, mullite refractory castables, corundum refractory castables, etc.

Low cement castables are commonly used in blast furnaces, steelmaking converters, and cement kiln linings. They have low cement content, good high temperature stability, good corrosion resistance, and low thermal conductivity, which can effectively extend the service life of equipment and improve production efficiency.
