Description of Mullite Insulation Brick

Mullite insulation bricks, also known as mullite lightweight bricks, are refractory materials with aluminum silicate as the main component. The alumina content is between 40% and 77%, and it has excellent thermal insulation performance. Mullite bricks can directly contact flames, with a volume density of 0.55~1.35g/cm3 and a compressive strength of 1.2~4.5Mpa.

Types of the Mullite Insulation Brick

JM23

  • Densidad aparente: 600-1000 kg/m³
  • Temperatura de funcionamiento: ≥1350℃
  • Conductividad térmica: 0,2-0,3 W/(m K)

Mullite insulation brick is mainly composed of mullite and a small amount of binder, it is white, the alumina content is between 38% and 44%, and the refractoriness is 1350°C. It is used as the inner lining and insulation layer of small and medium-sized industrial kilns.

JM26

  • Densidad aparente: 700-1000 kg/m³
  • Temperatura de funcionamiento: ≥1430℃
  • Conductividad térmica: 0,210,325 W/(m K)

The refractoriness of JM26 is above 1430℃. The refractoriness and pressure of JM26 are slightly higher than that of JM23. It is commonly used in the lining and insulation layer of some large industrial kilns.

JM28

  • Densidad aparente: 800-1000 kg/m³
  • Temperatura de funcionamiento: ≥1700℃
  • Conductividad térmica: 0,28-0,34 W/(m K)

JM28 uses high-purity materials, adding high-temperature stabilizers and corrosion-resistant materials. Thus further increasing the density and compressive strength. It is often used in lining and insulation layers of high-temperature industrial kilns.

JM30

  • Densidad aparente: 1000-1100 kg/m³
  • Temperatura de funcionamiento: ≥1800℃
  • Conductividad térmica: 0,4-0,43 W/(m K)
