粘土隔热砖又称粘土轻质砖。它是以耐火粘土为主要原料制成的隔热耐火制品，Al2O3含量在30%-48%之间，粘土熟料在65%-85%之间。粘土质保温砖主要用于不直接接触火焰的各种窑炉的保温层，工作环境温度为 800℃-1200℃。粘土隔热砖一般不直接接触火焰，用于窑炉的隔热层。粘土隔热砖的主要作用是有效隔热，减少窑炉与外界空气之间的热量传递。
