Alkaline materials for cement plants are mainly composed of alkaline oxides (such as MgO, CaO), which have strong resistance to alkaline slag erosion and are often used in high-temperature oxidizing atmosphere environments.
Magnesium refractory materials
Features: With magnesium oxide (MgO) as the main component, it has high refractoriness (≥2000℃), strong resistance to alkaline slag erosion, but poor thermal shock resistance.
Application: Firing zone and transition zone of rotary kiln (withstand high temperature and alkaline material erosion).

Magnesium chromium refractory materials
Features: Magnesium oxide and chromium oxide (Cr₂O₃) are compounded, combining high refractoriness and erosion resistance, and high high-temperature strength.
Application: High temperature zone of rotary kiln (such as firing zone), but its use is gradually restricted due to environmental protection issues (hexavalent chromium pollution).
Magnesium-aluminum spinel refractory
Features: Magnesium oxide and aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) synthesize spinel (MgAl₂O₄), which has better thermal shock resistance than magnesium materials and good corrosion resistance.
Application: rotary kiln transition zone, high temperature section of cooler.
